If you have not already, please authorize your free PSO2 license in Steam by clicking Play Game once on this page while logged in. Cancel out of the install menu that pops up. You MUST DO THIS OR THE TWEAKER CANNOT LAUNCH THE GAME


If you have not yet installed the game at all

  1. Open the PSO2 Tweaker (6.0.2.1+) and change your version to "Global (Steam)". If you have never used the Tweaker before, decline the guide, hit "No", then "Global", then "Steam".
  2. Select a place to install the game.
  3. Wait for the console windows to finish, then hit OK to restart the Tweaker.
  4. Hit yes to do a filecheck, and wait for it to finish.
  5. Once the filecheck has completed, you can now launch the game by clicking "Start Game". It will check to make sure Steam is open (and start it if not), and then start the game.
  6. If you have already installed the game through Steam

    1. Open the PSO2 Tweaker (6.0.2.1+) and change your version to "Global (Steam)". If you have never used the Tweaker before, decline the guide, hit "Yes", then "Global", then "Steam", then "Yes" again.
    2. Select where Steam installed PSO2. If you're not sure where this is, find Phantasy Star Online 2 in your Steam Library, right click -> Properties. Select the "Local Files" tab, then click "Browse Local Files". You're looking for the pso2_bin folder in the window that pops up.
    3. Wait for the console windows to finish, then hit OK to restart the Tweaker.
    4. Hit yes to do a filecheck, and wait for it to finish.
    5. Once the filecheck has completed, you can now launch the game by clicking "Start Game". It will check to make sure Steam is open (and start it if not), and then start the game.
